Since the BambuLab has a built-in magnetic bed, this is not a kit, only a Flexi Plate with a pre-installed PEX Build Surface. The QR is not needed to use our plate but we are including 5 QR stickers to add if desired.

****PETG has the tendency to bond to PEX, we highly suggest using a glue stick as a barrier when printing PETG on standard settings. For more on how to print PETG on the PEX build surface without glue, please read this guide thoroughly, adjust your slicer settings, and print this test cube in a corner to see if your PETG releases or bonds too well.

Bought these for my x1c printers initially when I first bought the printers smooth plates were not readily available that worked. I know people rave about whamBam so they’re expensive but I decided to try a couple. With PETG filament I guess it was not the greatest to print with because it would adhere too well. There were many different things that were tried by wham Bam as far as changing gcode and other users to try to get it to work better rather than having to cover it with some kind of adherent to use as a release agent. filament really sticks to those plates so in that respect, they’re wonderful, but I do print a lot of PETG. I’ve even tried magigoo and Bed weld to be used as a release agent because I am not using glue stick. I graduated from that years and years ago. Bedweld and magigoo did not release so if I have to pay this price for a plate just to have to go back 10 years and smear it with gluestick no I’m not gonna do that.
I have used for printing ASA, ABS and PLA. Initial trial with ASA not sticking until I used scouring pad to scratch up surface now sticking well (no glue stick). Better than Bambu Labs Textured PEI plate and Engineering plate.
I love all kinds of plates and got the wham bam to have one for that mirror like smooth finish we used to get with glass build plates. It’s definitely good for that as well as great adhesion.
I've actually owned multiple of these plates for my Bambu Labs X1C. They work flawlessly for me when using any PLA without any glue or anything and create a nice finish on the adhesion side. I didn't scuff mine up so the finish is actually kinda mirror-like but to each their own. I clean the plate with a quick spray of Isopropyl alcohol and wipe clean with a paper towel after every print, and I have yet to have issues that way.
The only problems I had, and resulted in me ruining my first Flexi Plate was when I accidentally printed PETG onto it without a bonding layer. It sure stuck well to the plate...to well, and ruined the plate surface. FWIW, if you print PETG with a glue layer, it works well. They include that warning in the package for a reason.
All-in-all, this is my go to plate for printing with PLA, and is worth the money with how easy it is to use..
