The Resin HotBox was created for users to get more consistent results and fewer failures with a temperature-controlled ambient resin printer enclosure. Almost every resin prints better at specific temperature ranges, especially the higher-performance and exotic resins. The Resin HotBox enclosure also helps to trap fumes and has a built-in port to add fume extraction.

All of our HotBox lines are made of high-grade Nylon 600D fabric with fire-resistant coating and lined with a metallic heat-deflecting internal liner that sandwiches around a strong, lightweight honeycomb insulating structure. It has a temperature gauge right on the front panel so you can monitor the internal temperature.  You can allow the heat of the machine and the catalytic reaction of curing resin to maintain temperatures or add a small heater.

Features include:

  • Lightweight semi-rigid construction
  • Excellent insulating properties
  • Folds up flat, is easy to store and transport
  • Front USB outlet and extension cable
  • Cable passage for power or other cables
  • Full view front window covered with an anti-UV film to allow viewing the print
  • Built-in thermometer (two LR44 batteries not included)
  • Passage with cover for user-added fume extraction and air filtering
  • A set of loops to hold an anti-UV LED light bar
  • Built-in top handle to lift the enclosure when needed

Great Customer Service

I called when I setting it up about a question adding a tube and didn't have the radius on me when I was at Lowe's. The individual who answered the phone went out and measured the circle for me. Have not had any issues with the enclosure at this time.

It Works!

It works for sure keeps the temps at 25 C and when printing up a little past 30 C as long as your room temp is 25 C. It is a little tight for a Saturn 2 and the current front usb extension won't work with the Saturn 2(not with out a usb extension which Wham Bam corrected by sending me one) . From my understanding they came out with this as the Saturn 2 launched, I would like to see it wider so I can pull out the vat easily, otherwise its a solid for sure buy!

Great insulater with a couple qualms

I print in my garage and it’s typically down to 30s-50s so it gets well below resin optimal temp. The new enclosure is great for keeping the heat from my small space heater in. I have a temp regulator switch hooked up to the space heater and it keeps it fairly stable temp. Wish it was a bit thicker walls though as it looses 10 degrees in about 3 minutes. Then the heater kicks back on. But it does work.
Here’s a couple of suggestions as I’ve been using for a few weeks now:
1. Thicker walls with more insulation
2. Use two zippers on the walls so you can unzip one way or the other for access
3. The USB cord is good to have but mine is unresponsive or DOA. It feels a bit cheap.
4. It would be awesome to have a version that has a heater and a temp switch installed already. Hopefully a switch that has a mobile app so you can monitor and adjust from your phone from anywhere.

Hotbox is great

Great product, I have been successfully printing in my unheated garage which sits around 50 degrees for three weeks now, with no issue. I use a small space heater to get the box up to temp, then the HotBox keeps it at temp while printing

So far so good

Like the title says… so far so good. Hot box has been working as designed. Im a bit large and not as nimble as most folk so the opening size can be a bit of a challenge to maneuver through. Shouldn’t be an issue for normal folk though.

Had an issue with the usb extension cable not seating in the Saturn 2 due to the usb being recessed into the side of the printer a bit. WhamBam addressed the issue right away.
